FILMING DAY 1
this
was the first day of filming when we shot the beginning of the scene of
Lana in her bedroom getting ready for the camping trip. Filming for the
first time was a definite challenge as it took some time to play around
with the camera and understand how to use it properly. moreover, we
experimented with lighting for the first time to see what position to
keep the lighting in order for the camera to capture what was needed and
make it look professional. There was many complications whilst filming
for the first time as in the first run we forgot to use a mic. This
wasn't good as our voices weren't as clear as we wanted it to and it needed to be projected in order for the audience to hear it properly.
FILMING DAY 2!
This
was the day we filmed the flashback of reminiscing the past of the
teenage girls at school when they were younger bullying Naila who plays
the villain. We had to get these external actors last minute as the year
7's in our school who were originally assigned to play the actors couldn't make it. This is why we gathered these small group of girls as quick as we could
by arranging to talk to their parents. First, I didn't understand how
difficult it was to film with young children as they was very giggly and
kept forgetting their lines and making a fuss about everything. It also
took time to clam them down as they was very jumpy and excited.
However, we got the scene completed at the end and we tried various
angles and different shots to see which one came out the best starting
from a high angle and altering as we went on.
FILMING DAY 3!
This is the day we went out to film our establishing shot of the graveyard and film the conversation that Inaya was having over the phone to Lana. We managed to get a lot done on
this day as we discovered a place in the graveyard to shoot very
quickly. We played around with the camera settings and changed the
colour of the picture into a more blue toned lighting to portray the
vibe of a horror movie. Moreover, we managed to shoot when the sun was
setting so it gave it a more creepy setting and atmosphere. On this day,
we used various shots and camera movements from when Inaya was walking towards the camera and talking on
the phone to see what looked the best. We ended up using the long shot
of Lana walking into the frame as we felt that the camera was
too shaky as we followed her whilst she was walking in front of the
camera.
FILMING DAY 4!
Today we filmed the scene where Naila is
on the swings singing her lullaby after she has murdered the girls. It
emphasised how Naila has mental issues and there is something not right
about her. We tried filming this in different ways such as walking
towards her face with the camera as she is swinging on the swings as
well as keeping the camera still and just focusing on her face as she
sings the lullaby. We also shot it from behind where we could only see
her back to the camera and she is swinging on the swings. Then the
camera quickly cuts to a close up shot of her screaming into the camera
which gives the audience a final fright. The wind in the background was
perfect as it gave a good sound effect as well as moving all the park
equipment making it look more freaky!
FILMING DAY 5!
This is the day we went into the graveyard to film the scene where Inaya gets
taken away by the police officer. We used LED lights to get the perfect
lighting as it was pitch black by the time we went out to film. We
filmed the scene in different angles as we first filmed it as a mid
shot, then we did a low angle canted shot so the camera was faced looking
upwards towards the characters. Finally, we shot the scene from behind a
tree to make it look like it was the villains Naila's point of view to show she is looking at the action.
FILMING DAY 6:
This is the day that we filmed the meet up scene where the teenage girls meet up with each other for the camping trip. This day was a complete disaster as we started off filming late because of technical issues which all film makers go through. As we got near the end of filming, we were were abruptly disturbed by three obnoxious men who started growling and shouting in our direction. However, it did not end here, after realising we were ignoring their ridiculous remarks, they decided that it would be sane to send their trained dog towards us. It ran around our belongings and returned back to them. We soon realised that it was no longer safe for us to stay at the graveyard so we panicked and ran for our lives. To our surprise they were right behind us, in fact they were chasing us! The struggle was real. We were tripping over sticks and stones breaking our bones. We did not stop till we could see the light or people for that matter. Luckily we did get enough footage of the meet up before this mishap. Hopefully next time will go much better than this as we'll have a superviser with us for safety.
FILMING DAY 7:
This is the day we filmed the scene where we are all around the camp fire telling spooky stories. We are also eating marshmallows on the stick and having fun. We used various camera shots and angles to make it look cosy such as using a point of view camera shot on each person to show their emotion when one of the characters tried to scare the other two characters. We used a wide angle camera shot to show everyone in the shot of sitting around the camp fire and we slowly zoomed into each character to also show what they are doing such as one of the characters was telling a horror story.
FILMING DAY 8:
This is the day we went back to the graveyard to get shots of us running and walking around the graveyard in search of the sounds and as Lana is frightening and shouting out Inayas name she is nowhere to be seen. We got a long shot of Lana running across the forest as well as the cameras turning to a mid shot of Lana looking around and feeling scared. Then we tried a close up shot of Lana's worried face as her eyes wonder around looking for where Inayah could be seen. Then we also got a shit of Lana's legs and feet running across the scene in search of her firend. We also got a low angle camera shot of Lana finding Inayas dead body on the floor, followed up of a close up shot of Lana's expression on her face as she is distort to find Inayas dead body on the floor.

Costume and prop
list!
- Creepy doll- This will be used when the girls go camping and the doll is sticking out of a characters bag as well as creeping up in particular scenes such as when Lana is in her room getting ready for the trip, the camera will focus attention on the doll.
- Bag pack for each teenage girl- This would be needed to show when the girls arrive in the graveyard that they are ready to start their trip with their essentials inside.
- Hairbrush- This will be needed to in the first scene where we see Lana getting ready in her bedroom and brushing her hair.
- Lighting- We will need lighting for every scene as good lighting is needed in order to make the camera quality pop. We will need lighting in Lanas bedroom scene and the camping scene such as LED special lights in order to give the effect of us being around a campfire.
- Kids are going to wear school uniform- The kids in our flashback will be needing to wear school uniform to show how they are in school bullying Nailah as a child. Them wearing the school uniform will set the scene as make it look realistic that it is a school environment.
- Teenage girls are going to wear winter outdoor clothing (winter scarves and coats)- This is important as we need our characters to dress the part of the weather and look cosy as if they are going out to a camping trip so they have to dress nice and warm.
- Blankets- This will be needed to set the mood and atmosphere as the girls will be huddled around the campfire, eating marshmallows and warming up telling stories.
- Marshmallows- This will be used for eating around the campfire as marshmallows on sticks are a common prop used in the movies when friends go on a camping adventure.
- Skipping rope & outdoor activities- These props will be needed to show how the chilren are in a school environment playing outside as they would do in break time. These props sets the atmosphere of being a in child friendly area.
- Knife- This will be needed when Nailah kills the teenage girls as she uses this weapon to start her revenge.
- Nailahs will be having stitches on her face (done by makeup)- This is done to make her look like a dangerous and evil villian as then it will be easier for the audience to identfy that she is the bad character in the movie.
- Nailahas face makeup will be pale- This will show that there is something wrong with her as illistrate how she is not a normal healthy little girl.
- Candles- The candles will be used during Nailahs funeral as the candles will be laid next to Nailahs picture to show her sad passing.
- Bunches of flowers- These will also be used in Nailahs funeral as it will show her friends paying respect of her passing as they lay out flowers of her remembering.
- Revenge note- This revenge note will be written by Nailah

Hazard rating out of 5

Graveyard
|
-A risk of a fire hazard taking place as we are
lighting a fire so there may be health and safety hazards such as getting
burnt.
-we will also use this location for filming the opening
of the film. There may be a hazard of us tripping over sticks as that area is
surrounded by wood, bushes and wildlife which we need to be precautious as we
may trip over and get hurt whilst trying to film and establishing shot of the
view.
-There can also be a hazard if the weather starts to
change and ends up raining which we would not be able to get clear shots
|
-We might be harmed as well as our actors taking part.
Moreover, the environment may be harmed if the fire spreads and burns
wildlife.
-The person who is filming may be harmed if they trip
over sticks and woodland.
-The equipment may be harmed as well as the actors as
the heavy rain can prevent them from performing their best and our equipment
will get destroyed.
|
-We will prevent it from happening by staying well away
from the fire. Moreover, we will have a teacher assisting us while we are
near the fire so there is a less chance we will get harmed as the teacher
will take control and set up the campfire
-To avoid this hazard from occurring we will be careful
on where we step and walk around the area softly and carefully avoiding
anything that could harm us or trip us up.
-To prevent this hazard from occurring we will stop filming
if it starts to rain and change our filming day to a dry day.

School Playground
|
There is a hazard risk associated with the children who
are our actors as whilst they act out the bullying scene there may be a
hazard that they accidently get hurt whilst pushing each other around.
|
The children who are our actors may be harmed as they
may accidently hit each other when they are supposed to be play fighting and
not physically hurting each other.
|
To prevent it from happening we will make sure the
children are soft with each other by making sure they don’t use violence and
are mainly using verbal words to portray the bullying.
