Movie analysis of "Annabelle" trailer!

-This movie trailer is in the genre of child horror where there is a  beautiful, rare vintage doll in a pure white wedding dress and a couple begin to experience terrifying supernatural occurrences involving a vintage doll shortly after their home is invaded by satanic cultists.
The trailer starts off with no music in the background but only the voices of the couple, this sets the scary atmosphere as it intends to interest the audience in as the danger is about to occur. We hear a whispering voice from a scary girl holding a huge china doll and the atmosphere turns quiet and all we hear is "i like your dolls". she is dressed in pure white to display her innocence as being a little girl who likes playing with dolls. There is suddenly very harsh music in the background that builds up in a fast pace to connote that the atmosphere is becoming panicky. moreover, here we see so much flashes of different scenes put together as moves really quickly to show how danger and threat approaches. There is use of silence where we see the little girl sitting all alone in the floor of a child's room crying. A close up of the freaky china doll is used when it shows the girls blood tears falling onto the dolls face. This indicates how the doll is seen as a threat and can be the problem to the story line. During the middle of the trailer we see how there is flashback indicating how the problem occurred with the doll. it shows how the couple first moved into the house not knowing that anything is wrong. We can tell this by the use of soft music in the background where it indicates that everything is going fine until the doll appears. The sound effect of crying and wimping from the doll is used to portray unhappiness felt by the doll, this reinforces that the doll is a dangerous sign and trouble.
Sound effects of a baby crying, the door creaking and the old fashioned sic player emerge when there is no music in the background. This heightens the scariness and mood of the scene as we discover that the doll is behind all these sound effects and is causing it whilst everyone else is sleeping. There is several close up shots of the doll used to show the audience how creepy looking it is painted. The dolls face is brightly coloured with exaggerated pink rosy cheeks and a huge smile. This contradicts the purpose of a doll as a doll is meant to look friendly and cute but this doll is devilish and scary and well described as a demon. The sound of lullaby music is played in the background when the doll is shown, this reinforces the childlike theme and background as child horror is associated with dolls that turn evil, and sometimes contain evil spirits inside out to get humans. This information was useful as we could apply these aspects of how the doll was presented in the trailer and apply it our own movie. For example, we will incorporate the close up shot of the doll to empathize how the doll is a sub minimal message in our film as well as using a deep focus to portray the deep threat and danger associated with the doll
